Antique Woven Ifugao container C
Extremely rare, museum quality antique handwoven rattan nesting container, circa early 20th Century. Woven by the indigenous Ifugao people of the Northern Philippines. Finished with beeswax, and patinaed to a rich dark redish brown with wood smoke likely from hanging inside a traditional bamboo house.
Features a herringbone weave, and a braided cord connecting the two parts, can be worn to hang from the wrist.
