Gauge

14sts & 22 rows = 4”/10cm in stockinette after blocking, using size US 10/6mm needles

Size US 10/6mm / UK 4 circular 32”/80cm long (+ optional 16”/40cm circular)

Size US 9/5.5mm / UK 5 circular 32”/80cm long (+ optional 16”/40cm circular)

Optional: DPNs for all sizes if you prefer not to use Magic Loop.

Additional Tools: A stitch marker for beginning of round, tapestry needle for sewing in ends and seams, and a spare circular needle or scrap yarn for holding stitches.

CONSTRUCTION OVERVIEW The sweater is knit seamlessly. Construction begins by making two sleeves which start at the cuff and finish with the saddles for the shoulders. The back is then made using stitches that are picked up from the long edges of these saddles and cast on for the back-neck then knit back and forth, top down until the underarm, where the live stitches are held before completing the front in the same manner. The back and front are joined in the round and knit until the bind off after the bottom ribbing. To make the optional neckband(s), stitches are picked up from the neckline and knit in a rib.

Intended ease: The sweater is worked with 10 - 12”/25 - 30cm positive ease at the bust. For example, a size 2 with a bust measurement of 36”/91cm will have a finished bust of 48”/122cm circumference (24”/61cm flat). Which is 12”/30cm of positive ease, if you wish to have a more fitted sweater, size down. Hannah wears Size 1 with 10”/25cm of positive ease at the bust and 2”/5cm of positive ease at the hip, her sweater is 21.5”/54.5cm and is 5’4”/162.5cm tall.
