Olympus golden eyed Sashiko needles

$3.50

Sashiko is a traditional form of Japanese quilting. Thick cotton thread and broad-woven cotton fabrics are best for sashiko, as are these needles from Japan. The eyes are large, making them easy to thread. These are thicker than the other needles offered in my shop.

The shorter needle is best for sewing curves, and the longer needle is best for straight lines. A thimble is optional, but helpful when sewing through multiple layers or heavy fabrics.

NOTE TO QUILTERS: This is NOT the needle you want for sewing through quilt fabrics and batting as it is too thick.

  • Needles measure 2" & 2.5" (5 & 6 cm)

  • Packet contains 2 needles
